Who We Are

New Beginnings offers confidential crisis counseling and long-term therapy services to sexual assault survivors of all ages, as well as their family and friends. Services are available regardless of if the assault was committed today or decades ago. We encourage those who are minorities, LGBTQIA, those with disabilities, and other special populations to reach out to us for assistance. We welcome anyone who has been a victim of sexual violence and want to help you live your best life.

In addition, we offer a wide array of preventative and informational programs to help men, women, and children rise above sexual victimization. We have begun to focus more on prevention programming and currently employ three prevention educators that work with K-12 students.

All programs offered are free of charge.

We employ six therapists who are licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) and 1 who is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. All of these certifications require a master’s degree and continuing education. We offer medical and legal advocacy to survivors and have Victim Advocates who will assist in the process.

Green River Regional Rape Victim Services, Inc., doing business as New Beginnings sexual assault support services, is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 entity as defined by the Internal Revenue Service. We rely on both community support and volunteers to expand the reach of our programs to all of those in need of our services. Contributions to this agency can qualify as a tax deduction for the donor. We rely on fundraisers, public and private grants, donations, United Way contributions, as well as federal, state, and local support.

As a member of the Kentucky Association for Sexual Assault Programs, New Beginnings is one of 13 rape crisis centers across the state of Kentucky.
